A lot of folks love the idea of starting their own business but are overwhelmed by the thought of what might be involved. After all, it’s no secret that anything worthwhile takes effort, and certainly starting a business is no exception. But at PrimoHoagies, we pride ourselves in the straightforward and transparent steps our franchisees take when they open a sandwich shop franchise with us. Let’s take a brief look at those steps, here.
#1. Reach Out and Request Our FDD
The very first step you’ll take is to fill out an inquiry form. Once we receive this, we’ll reach out to talk to you about our investment opportunity. It’s important that a franchisee and franchisor share the same values and philosophies, so that we can work together toward a common goal. Once we’ve established that our values and ideas align, we’ll send you a copy of our franchise disclosure document (FDD). This is a 23-item legal document that explains everything you’ll need to know about our franchise opportunity, the investment and additional fees, training and support, policies and procedures, and much more. You’ll have at least 14 days to review this important document before moving forward.
#2. Come to Our Discovery Day and Sign the Agreement
Now it’s time to meet! After you’ve read our FDD and understand more about what it means to open a sandwich shop franchise with us, you’ll come to our headquarters in Westville, New Jersey, to meet with our franchise team and learn more about what sets PrimoHoagies apart from the rest. If at this time we both agree that franchising with us makes sense, you’ll sign our franchise agreement and pay the franchise fee. As stated in our FDD, this fee grants you exclusive rights to use the PrimoHoagies brand name in your area.
#3. Find, Lease, and Build Out the Perfect Location
Now it begins to feel real — and exciting! We’ll work with you to find and lease the perfect spot for your new sub shop, engaging the expertise of a local real estate broker. We’ll make sure your new location meets all the criteria necessary to operate smoothly and to capitalize on your demographic. After we’ve decided on a location, we’ll start the construction/buildout process, working with local architects and contractors, making sure to help manage the process from start to finish. Don’t worry — we’ve done this before, and you won’t go it alone!
#4. Attend Training and Prepare for Your Grand Opening
At this point, with your new store under development, you are officially a PrimoHoagies franchise owner! Now it’s time to take part in the thorough pre-opening training we offer. All our new franchisees attend an extensive, three-week program that teaches them everything they need to know about running their franchise. Franchisees will also have the chance to work in an actual operational location, to learn first-hand about the day-to-day operations of a PrimoHoagies sub shop.
Once your training is complete, it’s time to prepare for your grand opening. Our grand opening team will be there to help you before and after you open your doors, making sure everything runs smoothly. After that, our marketing team will provide you with the resources to get the word out. We know the first six months or so of a new business are critical, so we’re there every step of the way to help keep our new franchisees on track and prepared for growth.
