We provide real estate support so that our franchisees find the perfect location in their area for a PrimoHoagies restaurant.
We engage with a local real estate broker, who then finds all the available real estate in the franchisee’s trade area that meets the criteria for one of our restaurant franchises. The broker will also talk to landlords about other locations that may become available soon. You, us, and the broker all decide on which location is best for your new franchise, and then we go ahead and sign the lease. With your new location underfoot, you are ready to take the next step toward owning a restaurant franchise with us.
Now that you have your location secured, we have to build it out. We offer construction support to help you use an architect to design the initial layout and take it out to bid for a general contractor. Once you choose a general contractor, we will help you manage them and the construction to keep up with timelines and uphold our quality standards.
While your franchise is being constructed, you will come to our corporate location to begin your training. This is a real PrimoHoagies store, which means you will be learning in a real location with real customers and products. Our training program consists of 160 hours, both in a classroom and in the live store. We introduce you to our vendors, show you how to use the Point of Sale (POS) systems, and our marketing department will come in and talk about social media marketing and how it could play an imperative role in getting your franchise on people’s radar.
After your initial training is complete, you will then prepare for your grand opening in your new location. Our grand opening team will come out to your restaurant about four days before the grand opening to help with a soft opening. This is a smaller gathering at your store, typically just friends and family, to make sure everything is ready for the real thing. The whole team will stay for the first week of your grand opening, and one or two team members will stay at your location the following week to make sure you are all set with your new PrimoHoagies restaurant.
In addition to our PrimoHoagies grand opening team, we also offer grand opening support. Our franchisees are required to spend $10,000 on the grand opening marketing campaign . Our internal marketing department works with each franchisee on how to spend that money based on where they are and what demographics they should target.
Marketing and Operational
Once your franchise is up and running, we don’t just send you on your way and hope for the best. We continue to support you and try to keep you on the right track for your business. We have ongoing digital marketing support, which we use social media and reputation management, and we also manage your digital presence with photos and optimized websites so that your franchise shows up in search.
We also have operational support that continues throughout your franchising career. Our field consultants visit our stores once every six weeks to make sure that every franchise is keeping up with the PrimoHoagies standards and using the best practices for their business. The consultants also do inspections to make sure the stores are keeping up with food safety standards, and they check the POS for different logs and do an audit on the systems to make sure they are optimal and the profit and loss numbers are as expected.
Our franchisees also have access to a 24/7 line that they can call when they have any questions about their franchise. We are always there to help our franchisees, so we made sure that there was someone there to talk to at any time of the day.
